About
Hey there!
Welcome to Angus & Avocado Photography!
The first time I was introduced to photography was at a very young age when I watched my Grandmother take pictures and then develop in her darkroom (a very tiny coat closet). She passed away after a battle with ALS when I was 12; before I understood what kind of an impact she was having, and would later have, on my life. That eventually it would become a passed down passion. Photography is my "thing". It has always been a part of who I am. When I don't have my camera, or the trusty cell phone, I'm still looking at the world through an imaginary lens. It makes me stop to literally smell the flowers. To notice the older couple helping each other at the grocery store. The fly fishermen and their surroundings in the Catskill Mountains. How the light hits the grass and the sun peers through the trees just right when the day is almost over. When I look at old photos and see my grandparents and relatives laughing, flinging kids around and having a great time ... my heart knows this is exactly what I've been made to do. So although I am just beginning with this part of my photography journey, it's been with me for more years than I can count.
As I practice my skill, this website will be a big part of putting myself out there. I hope to gain the knowledge takes to possibly make this love more than just a hobby. Where this will end up, I do not know. But I aim to find out.
